Mothman Festival 2024

Mothman Festival is an annual event held every third weekend in September that commemorates the 1966 Point Pleasant, West Virginia Mothman sighting.

The Grafton Monster Festival 2024

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first reported siting of The Grafton Monster, we will be holding a 2-day festival in Downtown Grafton, WV! There will be lots of vendors, speakers, music, a cryptid cosplay contest, a Father's Day cornhole tournament, an art exhibit, a Grafton Monster themed scavenger hunt, and more. This will also be the grand opening of The Grafton Monster Museum inside The Black Cat Rookery Book Store and Curiosities located at 107 W Main Street, Grafton. Veggie Man Day 2024

Join us for the first annual Veggie Man Day! A day to celebrate Fairmont’s very own strange legend. This event will include artist vendors, authors, live music, food trucks, free veggie snacks, exclusive Veggie Man Day merch, and more. Don’t miss this out of this world event!
We are so excited to be holding this event at the beautiful WV Folklife Center. A place that is dedicated to the identification, preservation, and perpetuation of West Virginia’s rich cultural heritage.

Lurch Fest 2024

Lurch Fest is a celebration of Lurch actor Ted Cassidy, who grew up in Philippi. Although there are not many details on Lurch Fest 2024 quite yet, the event always has plenty of fun vendors and food trucks. You can also stop in at the Philippi Museum and check out the Lurch statue. 2023’s festival was also attended by Ted Cassidy’s son Sean and the creators of the Lurch statue.

Folklore Fest

Folklore Festival is a festival full of Cryptids, Folklore Icons, and everything in between!
This is going to be an event with Vendors , Crafts, Entertainment, and Activities for the young, not so young, and potentially those with eternal life!
Attractions and acvities will be posted as they are confirmed.
